In the context of limiting the consumption of certain foods and beverages, the 2020 dietary guidelines recommend:-
Limitingadded sugars to less than 10% of total calories in a day for ages 2 and older. It also suggests that infants and toddlers younger than 2 years to avoid all foods and beverages containing added sugars.
Limiting saturated fat to less than 10% of total calories in a day starting at age 2;
Limiting sodium intake to less than 2,300mg per day or even less if younger than 14 i.e. 1,200 mg/day for ages 1-3; 1,500 mg/day for ages 4-8; and 1,800 mg/day for ages 9-13.
Limiting alcoholic beverages (if consumed) to 2 drinks or less a day for men and 1 drink or less a day for women.
