The War
This book is unfinished (keep that in mind when reading it). When fifteenth-year-old Oprah and her friend Milo get attacked by the Cliffhangers in their military summer camp, stuff starts to go downhill from there. Oprah loses everyone and everything. She ends up being the only Stinger left. (Please keep in mind that I make up most of the story as I write it. Please give me any feedback you have, I plan on writing books when I grow up).

The Secret
Chapter 2
A couple hours later I heard my mom marching up the stairs and cursing under her breath. I waited for her to slam her door shut then I would go find Mr. Collins, Milo's dad. I found him sitting in the kitchen with his head buried in his hands.
"Mr. Collins, are you OK?" I asked as I approached him.
"Yes." he said with a start. "I'm fine, perfectly fine."
"You don't sound fine and you're even paler then before." I informed him.
"Oh am I?" He asked nervously.
"What's wrong, Mr. Collins?" I asked him. I was desperate for an answer. I needed something good to come out of that day.
"Can you keep a secret?"
"Yes, what's your secret?"
"You've got to promise me that you won't tell anyone and you won't turn against me."
"I promise."
Mr. Collins paused for a moment then he said "Never mind, I'm not going to tell you. The last thing I need is for someone else to know. I'm on the most wanted list! Your mom might turn me in!"
"I'm so sorry for you. You can trust me though, you can tell me anything. If you change your mind I'm here for you."
I turned to leave when he said "I'll tell you, my life can't get any worse. Do you know why the Cliffhangers started to attack?"
"I've heard some rumors but I'm not sure if they're true."
"I'm the reason why. I accidentally fell on the Cliffhanger military leader and he thought that it was on purpose. I begged him not to invade Stinger territory and to just take me instead, but he didn't listen. I was a Singer representative, I would trade and consult with the Cliffhangers. They said if I represent the Stingers then they don't want to share the world with us." I stared at him in disbelief. I was speechless. All I could do was stare. He backed away from me and headed for the door on the other side of the room.
"Where are going? You don't have to worry. I won't turn you. I'm here for you."
"Wow, thanks Oprah. You know that you're the first person who responded like that to this news and I thank you for that."
"No problem. Now let's hide you."
"Oprah, do you know where Milo's father went?" my mom asked me a few hours later.
"No idea." I replied. The truth is that I did know where he was. I helped him hide at the abandon penitentiary a couple miles from our house. "Why?"
"No reason." she tells me. She seems in a better mood now but I know the truth. She is waiting for Mr. Collins to appear so she can hand him in. Since he was gone I know that she was really upset even if she doesn't show it. I am shocked that she would react in such a way. She always seemed to really like Mr. Collins and she's the nicest person I know. I bet that anyone in my city would give anything to put Mr. Collins in his rightful place, but luckily I would give anything to save him.
My mom and I stared at each other suspiciously for a few minutes when we heard a knock at the front door. The whole town was suppose to be on lock down, so it must have been a Cliffhanger.
"Honey, go get your gun." my mom said sternly. I ran to my room and grabbed my gun from a cluttered closet. When I got downstairs me and my mom tip-toed to the front door. My mom opened the door and pointed her gun to a man dressed in tan, gray and black camouflage: Cliffhanger.
"'I'm warning you. I'm armed and I'm not afraid to shoot." my mom warned.
The man put is hands up like he surrenders and said "I'm not going to hurt you. See no weapons."
"What do you want?" she spat.
"Do you know where Justin Collins is?" the man asked in a deep voice.
"I wish I knew, but I don't" said my mom.
"You don't, really? I think that you do."
"I don't I have no idea. I never lie about anything and if I did know where he was, I would give him to you."
"Lying isn't a good thing. Now tell us where he is." Two men behind the one talking to me and my mom inched closer to the doorway and the man in front of us moved his hand closer to his belt.
"I'm not lying!" my mom shouted. Her voice was raising and I could tell that she was getting enraged.
"What about you? Do you know anything about him." The Cliffhanger nodded his head towards me.
"Leave her out of this." my mom screeched and stepped in front of me. "Why don't we sort this out, outside." My mom slid out the door and closed it behind her. I instantly put my eye on the peep hole and watched. For a few minutes they just argued a bit, but when the guy form the door removed a small hand gun from his belt and pointed it at my mom.
"I'll give you one more chance to tell me where he is."
"I don't know. I swear, I don't" Tears were rolling down her cheek and I could see her mascara bleeding with her eye shadow, sending down black tears.
"I don't believe you" He pulled the trigger on his gun and a bullet came out. It just skimmed my mom's head. No harm done, for now. "That was a warning, next one wont be. I'll give you twenty-four hours to find him. If you don't find him, or I don't find you, then that little battle that happened today, wont be the last." The three men walked away like nothing ever happened.
When my mom came back in she said " Get Milo and tell him to get anything he needs to survive and pack it. Do the same yourself. I want you and Milo to meet me in the kitchen in half an hour no matter how much you packed."
"Ok," I answer.
When I get into the room that me and Milo share, Milo is sitting on his bed while reading a book.
"Hey, my mom wants you to pack up anything that you need to live." I tell him.
"Why?" he asked.
"Because a couple of Cliffhangers came by a few minutes ago and threatened my mom. So now we need to go into hiding."
"Still not telling me the whole story."
"I'll explain later just get ready to go."
About half an hour later me and Milo met with my mom in the kitchen and we all agreed to live in the abandend mansion near the cemetery.
We got to the cemetery around eight thirty p.m.
