OLD GODS: WHAT ARE THEY?

Old God, a Term given to corporeal beasts of a other-wordly nature, are generally masses of flesh that personify a negative or harmful emotion, in it's purest form.

These "Old Gods" are referred to as "Eldritch" in the ParaScience labs of the world, and often, any research with them is covered up by one of three groups, the Iluminati, the Templars, or Shaedanath Industries. But however, due to recent events that may or may not be the accidental fault of Shaedanath Industries, this book has been produced in order to ensure the safety of the people of the world.

Old Gods, are the products of Negative emotions that have influenced human behavior and psychology since the beginning of time, often from the shadows, and the darkest parts of the human psyche. Whether they be whispering Doubts or Prideful suggestions, the Old Gods seek nothing but the eradication of life from this and all planes of existence.

It is often believed that the religious teachings of every major civilization do in fact have stories that truly occurred. Oftentimes, the tales of ancient wars between the Gods, and the forces of Chaos (Most notably, the Greek Creation and Norse Creation Myths) are believed to be the stories of our earliest ancestors fighting against the Old Gods. However, like our religious Gods, the Old God's true forms are so complex, that our feeble human minds cannot comprehend them, hence the depictions of the Titans (In the case of the Greeks) or the Armies of Niffleheim and Jotunheim (In the case of the Norsemen.)

Another theory is that the "Evil" or "Trickster" gods, are also the Servants of Old Gods, who are nothing more than Vessels for the power of the dark ones.

The most notable of these, is Loki, the trickster god of Norse
Mythology, who married a Troll Giantess. His unique combination of
powers involved Shapeshifting, another skill that is common among the
Old Gods and their brood/servants

However, nowadays, Old Gods are mostly sealed away. The Ancient Stories are often passed down in the form of Religion, such as the vault known as "Tartarus" or the Area beneath Yggdrasil, where they claim that Loki is bound. These Vaults are often of a higher level of Technology than we can comprehend, but they aren't invisible. You can find them if you look hard enough.

As is our job, we urge you NOT to open the vaults, should you find one.
