Wand woods are not everything about a wand. No, there is also the core of the wand and the length and flexibility of them too.
Wands have been known to change allegiance, as well. If you have read the seven volumes on the life of Harry Potter, you know this was the case of Draco Malfoy's wand. But most know it by the Elder Wand, said to have been crafted by Death himself.
