Potions Notes Years One Through Seven

Cure for Boils
- E.B.T.- Pewter= 45 min, Brass= 39 min, Copper= 33 min
- can cause irritation and a mild rash
- store in a dark cabinet
- at a good room temp. can be kept for 4 years
INGREDIENTS:
- 750 mL of water
- 6 snake fangs
- 4 horned slugs
- 2 porcupine quills
- 3 measures Flobberworm mucus
PART ONE INSTRUCTIONS:
- add 750 mL of water to cauldron and bring to 194 degrees Fahrenheit
- add all six snake fangs to your mortar and crush to a fine and even consistency
- take the table spoon and add 4 measures to cauldron
- heat cauldron to 230 degrees Fahrenheit for ten seconds then turn the flame back to 194
- wave wand once clockwise, (it should have a pink hue to it)
- brew for 22 minutes in a pewter cauldron
PART TWO INSTRUCTIONS:
- add all four horned slugs
- take cauldron all the way off the heat before adding the porcupine quills
- add 2 porcupine quills before returning it to the heat
- wave wand 5 times clockwise and make sure that the heat is still at 194 degrees
- let potion finish brewing for 17 minutes
TO FINISH:
- take off heat (should be a sky blue in color)
- add Flobberworm mucus (leave to sit for five minutes)
- stir until it is a uniform consistency and then funnel it
