Chapter 3
- wizards and witches pass their magical ability onto their kids
- some wizard kids are squibs
- no one knows were a person's magical ability comes from
- muggle-borns = comes from muggle parents
- pure-bloods = blood is strictly magical
- half-blood = one magical part, one non-magical parent
- Hermione Granger = muggle-born (brightest witch of her age)
- magic is like breathing
- golden ball of light inside you = your power
- wand is the extension of your body
- magical power is in your veins
- incantation = the magic words
- proper pronunciation
- Wingardium Leviosa = the Levitating Charm
- Hover Charm = Levioso (Inward spiral then upward flick, it just makes objects hover)
- Rocket Charm = Alarte Ascendare (Quick Swish, shoots up objects, drops it down)
- Floating Charm = Fluito (Jab then Upward Flick, hovers a couple feet in the air, only up and down)
- Levitating Charm was created by Jarleth Hobart
