Anatomy of Threstrals

Chapter 2
The Threstral is a type of magical creatures called Winged Horses. This breed is the most unusual of all of the four breeds. It appears to be all black skin and bones at first glance, and that is partially true. The body has no meat, but it does have all of the organs and guts that a regular horse has.
One of the most noticable things about the Threstral is its large slender wings. It has one pair, like all of the Winged Horses, but there are no feathers. The wings resemble a pair of bat wings. The whole body is smooth and reptilian, with no fur or feathers. The only hair is on its neck. This hair is very valuable, but it only grows back every year. The bones stick out, giving the Threstral a scrawny appearance.
Another thing that is interesting about the Threstral is its thin tail. It is used as a weapon. It is only bones, so it is hard and sometimes sharp. It can swing quite fast, so beware. However, if you are respectful towards a Threstral, you should not have to worry about this.
The size of their brain is quite large. They are one of the smartest magical creatures in the world, among demiguises, unicorns, and kelpies. The blood is a very important potion ingredient in health potions. It is grey in colour and thick like flobberworm mucus.
