Secret Notes

Chapter 3
Later that evening...

Draco pulled a piece of paper out of his trunk along with his quill & ink.
"Dear Hermione," Draco wrote, "Meet me after lunch in the library. Aisle 3 Row 11. I can't wait to hear your voice!
~D.

The next morning at breakfast, Draco walked up to Hermione who was going to her table. He purposefully bumped into her slyly handing her the note. "Watch where you're going, Granger!" He teased. She hid her smile. She sat down at her table and unrolled the note.

"What's that?"
Hermione jumped at Ginny's voice.
"What's what?" Hermione replied stuffing the note away.
"The note," Ginny responded.
"Oh, that... It was nothing." Hermione replied calmly.
"It was from Malfoy, wasn't it?" Ginny accused.
"What-- Why would it be from-" Hermione stuttered, shocked at Ginny's accuracy.
"I saw you gawking at him yesterday."
"What- no! That preposterous!" Hermione exclaimed.
"Fine... then who was it from?"
"No one, it's just a reminder that Lupin's essay summarising the chapter on Boggarts is due on the 7th."
"I know that you're lying but it's obvious you don't want to tell me, so that's that."
"I-" Hermione started to protest but Ginny was already walking to the other side of the table.

It seemed like an eternity until lunchtime, but it finally came. When she looked at the Slytherin table, Draco was nowhere to be found. She assumed he was in the library. Hermione barely ate her food. Then she ran off before anyone could even ask where she was going. She ran all the way to the library, grinning the entire time. When she reached the library the librarian, Irma Pince, stopped Hermione. "Why are you here? It's lunchtime."
"I've already finished eating ma'am. I'm just getting some extra study time before school starts again." Hermione lied.
"Alright." Mrs. Pince glowered at her as she scurried to Aisle 3, the farthest from the entrance so that Mrs. Pince couldn't hear a word. When Hermione Made it to Row 11 she found Draco sitting on a blanket on the floor with a picnic basket. He smiled at her and motioned to come over to the blanket. She grinned and sat down.
"So... what do we have here?" Hermione asked.
"Well," *Draco kissed her cheek* "a light picnic... in the air."
Hermione felt the blanket underneath her start to lift off the ground and ascend into the air. Up high enough where no one would see them.
"I know your not a fan of skipping classes so," he gestures around, "I figured we could do this during lunch."
"Well... I might have something even better." Hermione said smirking.
She pulled out the time turner from her shirt.
"We can make this last a bit longer."
"Where did you get that?" Draco asked in awe.
"Professor McGonagall gave it to me so I could make it to all my classes," Hermione responded.
"Ms. Hermione Granger, breaking the rules!" Draco said teasingly.
"Technically..." Hermione scoots closer to Draco so that she's able to put the time turner over his head, "I am using it to get to my classes."
She brought her lips to his and kissed him. Slowly. And turned the time turner once.
