Born To Be Magical
Chapter 1
It's kind of nice to understand that the reason you had reassembled the glass table of your parents, after having it in splinters by throwing a ball on it, was done via magic. I guess this was the first time I realised I was, well, different from the rest of my peers. It also explains why my mum was kind of happy when I told her the truth, instead of brushing me away like any Muggle parent would. I admit, being able to fix something you've broken in your various shenanigans as a child must be a blessing.
Now, in Hogwarts, I have a chance to learn more spells, advanced and not, and channel my magic inside me through my wand. Charms offer me that chance, to learn different and useful spells, which will, hopefully, help me in later life. As much as I enjoy to learn Lumos (finally, no more lurking in the darkness), let's be honest, I'd love to learn something more complex or duelling-wise hex. Blame my instinct to defend myself to anyone who dares badmouth me. I think it'd be cool.
As for the intricancies of spell casting, I believe it's nice to know the roots of your weapons. Gives a better perspective, both in use and in the requirements needed. I'd also love to learn some spells from different resources than our textbooks, or the standard ones listed in Ms. Goswaks' book. There are tons of spells, hexes and jinxes that I believe could benefit any teenager, and complete his education.
Keeping notes throughtout my 1st year seems to work for me. I imagine I would laugh when I will get back to read them during my last year. So yeah. I'll be keeping notes in this little book.
