My name is Kate Jones and I am in my third year at Hogwarts. I have 2 friends, Sally and Helen. This is my diary of how my year was like as a thirteen year old at Hogwarts.

Chapter 3
Dear Diary,
I just finish deciding what to wear for my first date!!! Sorry for not writing in you for a long time, but Jake ask me to the Yule ball!!!! And then he ask me out, which is going to be tonight. I'm meeting him in the Forbidden Forest at midnight. I can't wait!!!!! I promise that I'll write in you whenever I get the chance since I'm busy these days and everything.
Anyway, I'm going to wear a puff white blouse borrow from Sally, a black skirt from Helen, and red heels. It doesn't matches, but who cares? I prefer not matching clothes. But of course, the fashion geek, Helen would scream and rush me off for a emergency fashion and make-over care. I love that girl too much to care!!! Haha!!!!
Sally rush in and presented me with a large chocolate cream mini marshmallows cupcake with chocolate shavings. She puts it in my hand and then a few girls came in. Helen and some of my other friends, Sara, Ash, Jessie, and Amelia. Helen was strumming a guitar, Sara and Amelia were singing, and the rest lighted a candle on top of the cupcake. Sally said,"Make a wish!!!" I laugh. "It isn't my birthday!!!" "A first-date wish, silly!!!"says Ash. "Alright, OK!!!" I close my eyes and in a while, open them and blew out the candle. "YAY, Kate!!!!" "Do you guys want?"I ask. All the girls shook their head firmly. "All yours, Kate,"Jessie told me. I ate the cupcake. "Mmmmmmmmmm, its so good!!!!"
A few minutes before midnight, I gave my hair a final brush and started to sweat. helen wipe the sweat off. Sally said,"Calm down, Kate. You'll be fine." "What if he tries to kiss me?" "Let him!"Helen cries. "OK, OK, well, see you later!!"
Jake and I stroll through the forest. We talk for a bit and he kiss me on my cheek. We said good-bye to each to each other and parted. "See you tomorrow, Kate." "Bye, Jake."
When I got back to the common room, it had been 2 hours already. Helen and Sally were still awake.They made me tell them everything. The Sally says,"You're fine, Kate!!" "Yes, now go to to sleep!!" "If you 2 do." "Don't worry, we are."
