I struggled. Ina rasp voice, I tried to cried,"Stop it!!!!" As soon as that happen, the world went black. Jet black. Voices cried and shouted. Someone shook me hard, real hard. I groaned and stirred, opening my eyes. All I saw were blurriness but I could make out Darrel's face. He shook me again. "Ponyboy, Ponyboy? You OK?" "Yeah, Ima OK. Quit shaking me." He stop. "Sorry." "Soda came over, grinning. "We'all chase 'em good, we did." I look over Soda and saw our gang chasing them Socs off, shouting and heaving rocks. They came back soon. 4 hard lean guys, as tough as nails.
There was Two-Bits Matt, Steven, Johnny, and Dallas, or Dally as we call him.
Two-Bit was 18 years old, lean, smart, and cocky. Sneaky too.
Dally was the most toughest. He could handle almost anything and was smart. He's 19
Steven was good with cars and could hot-wire one. He was 17 years old.
Johnny was second young next to me. He's 16 years old and gets scared easily.
My brothers, Darrel and Soda were both smart. Soda more fun and he's movie star handsome.
Darrel, Darry, is hard and he has muscles. REAL NICE MUSCLES.
