Werewolves
Chapter 1
A werewolf is a creature that has been known for centuries. They are humans who change into wolves every full moon. To become a werewolf you need to be bitten by a werewolf while it’s a wolf. If you get scratched by one, you are not going to transform, but instead just get a couple of wolf like behavior, for example liking raw meat. It’s unknown if you can become a werewolf, by getting born to one werewolf and one wizard. There are no reported cases of this, but PERSONALLY I believe it’s possible.
While being in their wolf-body werewolves can’t remember who they are or who their friends are. This means that they would kill their best friend if she/he comes across their way while being a wolf. When they are humans they do remember parts of what happened while being a wolf, but often they have a horrible head ache after full moon and don’t like thinking that much. Teachers who are werewolf’s take days off after each full moon.
Werewolves can’t choose whether to or not to transform every full moon. But some werewolves like Fenrir Greyback, can choose to get the powers of a werewolf whenever they want. Werewolves are often thought of as evil creatures, and this is kind of true. Werewolves often try making groups where they make plans on who to kill etc. Fenrir Greyback is one of history’s most evil werewolf’s, and he was a leader of one group of werewolf’s who joined The Dark Lord.
But since there is evil ones, there have to be good ones too. Remus Lupin for example. He is one of history’s most kindest werewolves . He always tried protecting others, and even though he was a werewolf he could love, and he could get married, and he could get a son. Lupin never wanted to be in Fenrir Greybacks group, he joined The Orded Of The Phoenix instead, and helped to defeat The Dark Lord. Even though he died in the Battle of Hogwarts, he died doing something he loved.. protecting his loved ones.
Since there are both good and bad werewolves, you should be careful if meeting one. And when the werewolf is transforming, make sure to be out of the way while he or she is transforming.
An animagus (a person who can choose to become an animal whenever he or she wants) can talk and be friends with a werewolf. Examples of these are Sirius Black and James Potter who were Remus Lupins best friends. They went through the long and hard process to become animaguses, so they could be friends with Lupin when he was a wolf.
