Fiendfyre
Chapter 5
This is a feat that only a great warlock could accomplish. Fiendfyre is cursed fire that can't be put out by any sort of water. It is extremely dangerous and is the only substance known to wizardkind that can destroy a Horcrux, along with Basilisk venom. Fiendfyre can take the form of snakes, manticores, dragons, and eagles. Without being controlled properly, Fiendfyre is unstoppable. A good example of this is the Fiendfyre that Vincent Crabbe conjured prior to the Battle of Hogwarts in the Room of Requirements.
The spell to conjure Fiendfyre is extremely difficult to do. It takes a tremendous amount of willpower and concentration to do. First, you must show your hatred. A Fiendfyre is made of hatred and anger. Once you have completed this, focus on the shape and size that you want the Fiendfyre to be while using a very high amount of willpower. Then, point your wand at where you want the Fiendfyre to start. Meanwhile, say the incantation, " Sacer Ignis" (satch-er-IG-nees). The Fiendfyre will start small, but then rapidly grow into the size of a bus.
To control Fiendfyre, your mind must overcome the Fiendfyre's consciousness. A very powerful wizard could probably subdue it with the Imperius Curse. Normal spells such as hexes or minor curses can't penetrate a Fiendfyre's "skin", so those will not work.
