The Unforgivable Curses
Chapter 2
These are no ordinary curses. These acts are so evil that the Ministry of Magic deemed them illegal. If you are caught committing these curses, you are sentenced to a lifetime in Azkaban. But if you want to control, torture, or kill someone, these are the spells you should look into. I am talking about the Unforgivable Curses.
The Imperius Curse, the Cruciatus Curse, and Avada Kedavra can control, torture, and kill your victim, respectively. These are among the favorites of Dark wizards and witches.
The first, and the only one that victims can resist is the Imperius Curse (Imperio). This allows the user to control the victim's body and actions. Only very powerful wizards and witches can resist this curse. Sometimes you can think of the action that you want the victim to do and they will do it. Most times though you'll have to speak it.
The next, and no doubt the most painful curse is the Cruciatus Curse (Crucio). This will torture the victim and harm them so much that, some have been known to go insane. The Cruciatus Curse is quite useful for interrogation.
The final and worst curse of all is the Killing Curse (Avada Kedavra). This will send a bolt of green energy from your wand and kill the victim. Please note that all of these curses require a lot of willpower and concentration. You must truly hate the victim to cast an Unforgivable Curse on them. The wand movement for all of these curses is a sharp, swift flick of your wand.
