Chapter 10: Basilisks & Inferi

Chapter 10
Now, we come to the penultimate chapter of this book. While only one of these creatures is a beast, they are both associated with Dark magic, so it is only natural to put Inferius in this book.
Used by Dark wizards and witches for centuries, the basilisk ( XXXXX) is a beast so evil, that any who stare it in the eyes are immediately dead. Reports say that basilisks look like giant snakes. These reports were of a blind basilisk, so the witness was unharmed. Rumors were that a basilisk lurked in Hogwarts School.
Only major curses and magical weapons can kill a basilisk. Another thing fatal to the basilisk is the cry of a rooster. Try to blind the basilisk, so its gaze doesn't kill you. If you don't see a basilisk directly, but by another form such as a mirror, reflective water, or camera, you will be Petrified. ---------------------------------
The inferi are another favorite of Dark wizards. There are ghastly dead puppets reanimated by a Dark spell. The way that Dark wizards control inferi is similar to the Imperius Curse. A pack of them can kill hundreds in a day.
Because these corpses are already dead, only a few things can conquer a horde of inferi. One of the best methods is to conjure a Firestorm, burning the inferi.
