Because Emma had work to do, she went back to her common room. A bunch of fifth year Slytherin girls were hanging around and gossiping. Plus, they were painting each others' nails hot pink and glossing their lips. Emma shuddered at that and slink past the girls. One of them, a tall and wavy haired hot red girl flung out a arm to stop her. Emma glared at them. "What do you want?" The red-ginger hair girl flipped her hair and asked,"Why do you always hang out with that Gryffindor girl?! You do know that we Slytherins NEVER betray our kind, right? Stop hanging out with her and you could become part of the crowd!!! Don't be such a loser!!!" Emma looked at her with an icy glare. "I can choose my friends well enough myself, thank you very much! And besides, why should I? Wendy is a perfect friend and I don't NEED to be part of you all!!" A tall girl with long black nails rolled her eyes. "Oh, whatever!!! We were just trying to help, you know? If you don't want us to, we're not even going to bother with you!!! Right, girls?!" There were whispers and the girl with blazing violet eyes nodded. She pointed a long and curled sparkly blue nail at me. In a low voice, she said,"One more wrong step, youth, and you will pay." Emma rolled her eyes too. She said,"Oh, is that a threat? Or a promise? 'Cause I don't need no damn thing, ya hear?" They glared at her and sashayed out of the room. Muttering nonstop, Emma was angry they had insulted her friend. Who did they think they were, going around and gossiping about other people's friends? It's none of their fucking business!!!
