When all the first years were in the Great Hall, the Sorting Ceremony began. The tattered hat on a stool in front of everyone open its mouth and burst into song. Then, a professor called people up one by one. Then, it was Jasmine's time. "Peters, Jasmine!!!" She went to the stool, sat and put the hat on her.
"Hmmmm, very brave and with lots of courage. Where should I put you?"
She thought, Not Ravenclaw, please!!!
"You could do well in Gryffindor, OR Slytherin! Mmmmm, a hard girl to choose for."
Finally, the hat made up its mind. It yelled,
"SLYTHERIN!!!!!"
Jasmine fought her way through to the Slytherin table. A blond boy smiled at her. He held out his hand. "I'm a second year. Draco Malfoy. You?" Jasmine shooked his hand and said, "Jasmine. Jasmine Lestrange Peters." Draco gaped at her. "Did you just say LESTRANGE?!" "Um, yes?" Draco shooked his head and smiled. "She's my aunt. Bellatrix, right?" Jasmine nodded. "She is my mother's second cousin removed. So, Bellatrix is my third cousin." Draco nodded. "Then you're my?" "Cousin."
Afterwards, the feast began. Piles, platters, dishes, and bowls of food appeared. Jasmine helped herself to everything. She shoved bits of pork chops and potatoes in her mouth. Draco stole a kipper off her plate. "Hey!!"Draco!" They both laughed as Draco popped the kipper in his mouth. "Ha."
"Hmmmm, very brave and with lots of courage. Where should I put you?"
