This is the diary of Hermione Granger. Diary entries will be added every now and then, to tell you of Hermione's journey at Hogwarts with her friends. To her, classes and books are the highlight of this incredible experience. But, obviously, friends are worth a lot too! Follow Hermione as she goes through Hogwarts every day, talking to her friends, going on adventures, and much more! She is currently in her 3rd year (hope that explains why the dates are in 2016)!

Chapter 2
Dear Diary,
I've just woken up, so let me tell you about yesterday. Well, we had to take a test. Okay, no, I'm just joking, that's what I initially thought. We got this ragged and torn hat, called the Sorting Hat, placed on our heads to determine which house we'd be in. I got into Gryffindor, which is for bravery. Interesting, isn't it? Ravenclaw would've been nice too - it's for intelligence. Hufflepuff and Slytherin weren't too appealing, though. It was fun, becoming a part of this amazing place. Right now, I'm wondering why no one is awake early. Maybe they are just sleepyheads like they always are? I'll go down to the Gryffindor common room and see if anyone is there.
There's an older girl sitting down and studying. She has a prefect badge shining on her robes. I want to go up to her and ask her some questions about Hogwarts, but she doesn't seem too awake yet. I should give her some time. I sit down and take a book from my bag called 'Hogwarts, a History' and start reading. Oh, it's fascinating! I could read it all day, but I can't, because I have classes to go to. Don't get me wrong, they're bound to be fun, but I do wish I could relax and read a bit longer. Fortunately, I have two hours. I'm going to read for a while now, so I'll write in you later, I guess!
