Hippomagiko: The Identification And Care Of Magical Equines
An in-depth work-in-progress of the varieties of magical horses and their relatives, as well as their care, diseases, training, and management. Note: The book as of this moment is NOT YET WRITTEN; this cover is simply submitted to the Library as a placeholder for now. It will be automatically updated as the various sections make their way through a very meticulous (and slow) proofreading spell.

Introduction To In-Progress Work
Chapter 1
Thank you for taking a moment to check out Hippomagiko! Right now this work is in progress, and will be quite a while in coming. You can check this chapter to find out what is being worked on and see sneak peeks of upcoming content. For example, the reason the book will take some time is . . .
. . . that's right, the book is being illustrated. Each full chapter will have several hand-drawn illustrations created especially for this book; nothing lifted, borrowed, or stolen from other online sources. Above you can see the work-in-progress of the illustration for the introduction.
These illustrations will take up the bulk of my time in writing the book. I will tend to draw a picture, write up to the point where I want to include the next picture, and then draw again. I will not be writing the book in advance, unless circumstances dictate that the book is chosen as a textbook for a high-level course and is needed sooner, in which case I will finish writing it and then add the illustrations later.
Before you ask, no, I will not do illustrations for other books, except under extreme circumstantial need by the HiH website itself. I have far too many projects of my own that I would like to work on, and even a fairly simple drawing can take up to 20 hours to complete. Full color "painted" works can take 40-80. So I am not saying no to be mean, or because I don't like you or anything like that, I am saying no because if I said yes, I would have to quit my job and college and I'm afraid there's very few people in the fandom who would like to pay me to draw so I can support my family. *wink*
So, thank you for your interest! The official introduction will be published this week, with additional chapters coming out as I finish them.
Stay magic, my friends!
