Defense against Dementors

Chapter 5
It was Wednesday, the day of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Ancient Runes, and Arithmancy. First, to Defense Agains the Dark Arts. The Fifth year Hufflepuffs were with the Fifth year Slytherins and it was a pain. I heard a few Slytherins having a conversation while Professor McGonagall was setting up.
" I don't understand we need a class against the Dark Arts. We should have a class for the Dark Arts."
"I know right, they do that at Durmstrang." They continued the conversation until McGonagall caught them.
"SILENCE. I will not have students being disrespectful in my class! Or for that matter in my school! 5 points from Slytherin, and if it happens again, 5 each!" She yells and it echoes around the room. The smug look on their faces has been wiped off and replaced with one of horror.
"As I was just previously saying, this week we will be learning about the Patronus Charm. Can anyone tell me what that is." I raise my hand and when she calls on me I explain
"The Patronus, according to The standard Book of Spells is an ancient and mysterious charm that conjures a magical guardian and is a projection of one's positive emotions. A Patronus is a very difficult charm and only the most powerful witches and wizards can produce it. The Patronus can be both corporeal or non corporeal. A corporeal Patronus is a Patronus of an animal that the producer shares a deep affinity with. A corporeal Patronus cannot be conjured without utmost happiness. The Patronus Charm is used as a Magical Guardian against Dementors, the guards of Azkaban."
"Well done Miss Blackwell, 10 points to Hufflepuff" said Professor McGonagall. She was very obviously biased with her house points, but she is our Headmistress, so no one objects.
"Keep reading on Patronuses and by Friday I want a Five foot long paper on how to conjure a Patronus and what is is a guardian to." Most of the class moaned. This was met with,
"You are Fifth years, start acting like some. And, your O.W.L.S. are coming up so you need all the homework and practice you can get. Now OUT. Before you are late to your electives. OUT I SAY!" No one needed a second reminder. I headed off with Maya down the corridor to Ancient Runes.
