Juniper Is a student at Hogwarts. The years are flying by and the end of Hogwarts is getting nearer each day. From potions to the Quidditch cup to possible romances, Juniper spends every day doing something she will remember in hopes of being able to cherish the moments she has left.

Defense against Dementors (Revisited)
Chapter 13
I am in DADA again and McGonagall has to take house points to calm the class. There is only a week until the Holidays. Finally McGonagall says,
"SILENCE! THERE MAY BE A WEEK UNTIL HOLIDAYS BUT WE ARE STILL IN CLASS! I WILL TAKE 10 POINTS FROM EACH PERSON WHO SPEAKS!" The class goes silent and she begins the lesson.
"Today we will be trying a rather hard Charm we have most previously learned of. This Week, we will be practicing the Patronus Charm. And, since you have already studied it, it seems most fit that you shall not have homework from me this week. Does anyone know the incantation used for the Patronus Charm?" Everyone in the class raises their hand and she calls on a small Slytherin girl.
"The incantation is 'Expecto Patronum' " she says. McGonagall replies with
"Very good Miss Johnson, 5 points to Slytherin" Most of the year the Hufflepuffs had no hope of winning the house cup. And, ever since the Quidditch cup, we have been in first place by a 100 points.
"This week we will be attempting to Produce the Patronus Charm. It is very difficult and I would be thoroughly surprised if you managed to produce it by the end of the week. But, Next year in my N.E.W.T. level class we will be practicing it constantly and I will expect more of you. So, think of your happiest memory. Something that fills you with joy. It has to be powerful, nothing like if you won the House cup." I close my eyes and think of my happiest memory. I know it was when Peter kissed me. Peter, who is sitting Two seats away, is probably thinking the same thing. We look at each other and smile.
"Now let that memory fill you up. ABSOLUTELY NO NOTE PASSING DAVIS, 5 POINTS FROM SLYTHERIN! Now, let me clear the room. Please use Reducio to make your desks pocket size and place them on my desk. Now, thats better. Hold out your wand, yes Good Mister Adler. Now, think of that memory, and say the words "Expecto Patronum" " The whole class said the words "Expecto Patronum". McGonagall exclaimed
"Good, Good, Let me show you what a Corporeal Patronus looks like. Expecto Patronum" and a pale blue translucent cat came out of her wand. The whole class gasped. Patronuses were beautiful. Then she said,
"Now try it yourself. Focus, remain focused and concentrate on your happiest memory." I held out my wand as she was, focused on my memory of when Peter kissed me, and said
"Expecto Patronum!" and a small pale blue wisp came out of my wand.
"Very good, I see this is a class of very Powerful Wizards. Keep trying, harder. Put your effort into it and try harder yes, very good Mister Adler, and oh Miss Johnson!" McGonagall exclaimed. Soon, the class period was over.
Then, on Thursday, we had DADA again and all the students were excited to keep learning the Patronus Charm. I focused, concentrated and this time a large force field of pale blue came out from my wand.
"Very, Very good, but remember it could be better." So, I practiced over and over again each time my forcefield got bigger until, I let the memory of Peter's and I's kiss become me. I had to be as electrified as I was in the moment, I had to focus so hard on is and this time when I said,
"Expecto Patronum" a pale blue cat came from the wand. McGonagall looked so proud of me and I exclaimed
"We have the same Patronus" She shook her head.
"My dear we have similar ones. Your Patronus is a Tortoiseshell Cat, meaning you are a lot more than what you look like. Like the Tortoiseshell cat, you may be small, but you are mighty and you are very protective. No Dementor will want to cross a Tortoiseshell cat. You can be assured of that." Then, Peter produced a Corporeal Patronus. It was a Basset Hound. I heard Maya snort and I wanted to do so myself. McGonagall chuckled then told Peter,
"Basset hounds are very loyal but also tend to do things their own way, much like you Mister Adler." At this Peter blushed and turned back to look at his Patronus. Soon, Maya had conjured a Patronus, a sleek and beautiful Tigress.
"Miss Wenlock Tigresses are very patient, protective and self sacrificing. A Dementor will not want to cross a Tigress." And, by the end of the day, Five students had Conjured a Corporeal Patronus and Maya Peter and I were all feeling very accomplished indeed.
