Some of the silver instruments in the Headmaster’s office don’t actually do anything, but they amuse Albus.

 At the age of 145, Albus was diagnosed with Magical Multiple Sclerosis, which slowly burns out parts of his magic. Because of this, he has lost his ability to sense intentions, his animagus form, the knowledge of how he defeated Grindewald, his ability to sing on key, and some of his ability to manipulate wards.

The only people who know are Aberforth, Poppy, Minerva, Severus, and Harry.

 Albus wholeheartedly approves of Severus and Harry’s relationship, and hopes that they will continue to be happy together.

 Albus knows that his death is essential if Harry is to kill Tom, and told Severus as much.

He will never leave the ones he loves.
