Albus Dumbledore was born on May 27, 1840, to Anette Rowen and Percival Dumbledore. An unusually quiet child, he watched the sun rise from his mother’s arms before falling asleep for the first time.

Albus had two sisters and two brothers. Avenya, six years his younger, died when she was 19 when an experimental potion she was developing blew up. Twins Andora and Andrew were killed by dark wizards two months before the defeat of Grindewald in an attempt to hurt Albus. They would have been ninety years old that summer. Aberforth was the baby of the family, seven years younger than the twins, and the only other one to survive the war.

Albus was a Prefect and Head Boy, and graduated with 13 NEWTs and a Charms apprenticeship.

 Though many people think Albus was a Gryffindor, he was actually a Ravenclaw, both in House and in blood.

 Anette and Percival died when Albus was thirty, and he was responsible for raising Aberforth and the twins. Because of that, his apprenticeship to Hogwart’s Transfiguration Professor was delayed by five years.
