Meadow arrived at the library first.

She found me at our normal meeting place.

"Finally, you're here." I said, relieved that I didn't have more time to think. I was starting to freak myself out.

We fist-bumped. "Babe." We said.

"Why isn't Luke here? Even I'm a little late." she asked.

"Dunno, neither are the others. Don't worry it won't take too long because Headmistress McGonagall asked my dorm to perform at the dance today." My stomach dropped. I was still really scared about that.

"What others?" Meadow asked.

"I invited two of my friends to come too." I said, leaving out the part about Caspiar.

"Okay."

We waited a little while.

"Oh here they are." I said, craning my neck to see them.

Luke, Lilac and Sam were walking toward us.

"I met these two on the way to the library and they said they were coming to meet you too." said Luke.

"Yeah they are, I invited them to come meet you guys." I explained.

"Hi." Meadow said awkwardly.

"This is Lilac," I said to her. "and Lilac this is Meadow."

They exchanged greetings.

"Meadow this is Sam." I said.

"Sam and Lilac are twins."

"So, that wasn't the surprise, obviously. I just needed to introduce you guys." I said.

We started walking.

"Okay, so I was looking for a book about Cornish Pixies. Not just a chapter in a book, A whole book dedicated to them. They are hard to find. But I finally found it. But when I tried to pick it up-" I explained.

I stopped and pulled at a book. The whole bookshelf started to move. It opened like a door. I led them in.

Meadow gasped.

"I thought you'd like it." I said to her.

She was walking around, and she got closer and closer o the button I had pressed when I had first come. Music started to play and everyone was suddenly dressed in their Victorian attire.

I looked up at the others.

"You look ridiculous." Meadow said to Luke.

"I feel ridiculous." said Sam.

He was dressed just like Luke but with a tall hat and a cane.

Meadow laughed fakely, but I realized the dresses were too tight for anyone to laugh normally.

"Me!? You should see you." Luke said to her.

Meadow was wearing a light pink Victorian dress with her hair was up.

"I don't know, I kind of like it. Those rosebuds look nice in your hair Meds." I said, skipping to the music, not comfortable with full on dancing.

"Thanks." she took one out of her hair to see it.

I stopped to adjust my dress, the same one that I wore when I first discovered this yesterday. My hair was in the same hairdo, a braided bun with small daisies embedded in it. I  made a grunting noise "This dress is so uncomfortable." I put on a pained expression.

"I feel you bro." Meadow said.

We both laughed.

"I'm always up for a new thing but these are just uncomfortable!" Lilac spoke, she wore a beautiful white dress with lilacs in her hair, which made sense.

Sam gaped at her.

She blushed a violent shade of pink.

Then came the cornish pixies. I laughed evilly.

"Cornish Pixies.'' Lilac said. ''It's a shame they're so mischievous. They look so cute."

"Wait, did you say-" Sam said.

"Cornish Pixies!" I screamed, still laughing maniacally.

We all ran for cover but the Cornish Pixies got us first. They made us dance.

Everyone got five pixies to dance with them. Except Luke who had at least twenty. He was pretty beaten up after.

"Guys!" Meadow yelled. The music was getting faster and so was the dancing.  It was unbelievable. Everything was blurry, I could only see flashes of blue and pink and white.

Finally after what seemed like twenty minutes we stopped. Everyone sat down and  rested for about five minutes.

"We should probably get going. It'll be time for the Hallowe'en dance soon." Lilac reminded us.

"Dance?! After this?" Luke said.

"Okay, I know that you guys probably feel as bad as I do but, it's Hallowe'en and doing nothing for Hallowe'en is something I promised myself never to do when I was a kid."

"We don't have any costumes." Sam said.

We all stood up and looked at each other. I burst out laughing. We looked horrible. All of the girls hair was falling out of the updo's, Sam and Luke's slicked back hair was poking out in weird places, everyone's clothes were un-tucked and dirty, but most of all it was our skin, which was paper white. The pixies had made our costumes for us. I said so.

''I guess we're going to the Hallowe'en dance as a group of Victorian zombies.'' Meadow stated.

Everyone was smiling. We looked perfect.
