Daffodils And Dewdrops

written by Sarah Michelle

*THIS IS A CONTINUING STORY, I WILL ALWAYS BE PUTTING MORE CHAPTERS UP! THANKS* Okay, this is your typical Hogwarts student journal, but you'd be surprised how interesting these can actually be. Anyway, go Hufflepuff (Haters gonna hate) P.S go look at my cousin Meadow Vasquez's book. I've linked it here and anytime the word of her title comes up in this book. Don't judge the title, it really isn't how it sounds. We are bfcf (best friend cousins forever) and this kind of follows our story at Hogwarts and be prepared for confusion because we have lots of inside jokes. Here is the llllliiiiinnnkkk for her book!! http://hogwartsishere.com/library/book/854/ ;) Please send me an owl for feedback!!! Please please please. FLITTERIFIC! THANKS! Farewell my darlings, and may the odds be ever in your favor. I don't know why I felt the need to say that. Do the odds NEED to be in your favor? Hmm, I don't know, maybe you should send me an owl and tell me! Muahaha... Okay, moving on.

Letters From My Father

Chapter 12

The light from the sun shone through my window in little strands, split up by a pine tree's branches. I sat up in bed and squeezed my eyes.I checked my clock. Belgium vs. Algeria was probably on right now, and I was missing it. I walked down to the common room in my pajamas. Only a few people were there, so I sat down on an empty couch, and accidentally fell asleep after a while.

''Sarah!'' someone was shaking me.

''Wha?'' I asked sitting up, drool falling down from my mouth. ''Ew.'' I said, wiping it off with my pajama sleeve.

''G'morning.'' said the person.

''Oh hello, Sam.''

''Shall we go get some breakfast?'' he suggested.

''Sure thing, I'm starved.''

We walked down to the Great Hall, and I decided to just keep my pajamas on. I started to stuff my face with breakfast-y stuff, while Sam sat beside me, watching me intently while slowly eating some bacon.

''MAIL'S COMING!'' yelled a girl from the Slytherin table.

''Thanks for the heads up, Margot, but we all have eyes too!'' replied another Slytherin, earning a scowl from the girl.

The owls flooded in, bringing packages and letters of all shapes and sizes. I just kept eating, because I never usually get letters anyway, unless it's my birthday, or another special occasion. Suddenly, a large parcel dropped right on top of my breakfast.

''Sorry, but whose is this?'' I asked around.

''Why don't you just look at who it's addressed to?'' Sam suggested smartly.

''Good idea, bro.''

I looked at the name.

''Sarah Michelle... Any Sarah Michelles around here?''

''Um, aren't you Sarah Michelle?'' Lilac asked quietly.

''Oh! I see. That's strange, I never get mail!''

I picked it up and shook it. It was really light, and it felt like it was more than one object. I opened it up and saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 different letters. I opened up the one on the top.

The Opening Ceremony

It was titled.

Dear, Sarah,

I know that you can't watch the World Cup at Hogwarts, and I know that you are passionate about this muggle sport, and so am I. I am watching the opening ceremony, and I want to describe it to you in full detail...

I started to read all of the letters, describing the games. Brazil vs. Croatia, Mexico vs. Cameroon, so on and so forth. Some of them even had moving pictures. I finished reading the letters in no time, getting a new thrill every time I opened a new letter. No, it wasn't the same as watching the live games with my family at home, but I was grateful that my father did this for me.
