Daffodils And Dewdrops
*THIS IS A CONTINUING STORY, I WILL ALWAYS BE PUTTING MORE CHAPTERS UP! THANKS* Okay, this is your typical Hogwarts student journal, but you'd be surprised how interesting these can actually be. Anyway, go Hufflepuff (Haters gonna hate) P.S go look at my cousin Meadow Vasquez's book. I've linked it here and anytime the word of her title comes up in this book. Don't judge the title, it really isn't how it sounds. We are bfcf (best friend cousins forever) and this kind of follows our story at Hogwarts and be prepared for confusion because we have lots of inside jokes. Here is the llllliiiiinnnkkk for her book!! http://hogwartsishere.com/library/book/854/ ;) Please send me an owl for feedback!!! Please please please. FLITTERIFIC! THANKS! Farewell my darlings, and may the odds be ever in your favor. I don't know why I felt the need to say that. Do the odds NEED to be in your favor? Hmm, I don't know, maybe you should send me an owl and tell me! Muahaha... Okay, moving on.

I Ask For Detention
Chapter 10
I sat under a beautiful oak tree, discussing Quidditch with Sam.
''What position do you think you'd be in?'' he asked me.
''Oh, definitely Chaser. No doubt about that. What about you?''
''I have no idea. What do you think?''
''I'd say you would be Seeker. You're quick, talented, and you have a really sharp eye. You would also never let your team down. Sam, you'd die for Quidditch.''
''True true.Thanks.'' He laughed.
''Oh! That reminds me!'' I said, and started rummaging through my book bag. I had about 25 books in there (I had the librarian put an undetectable extension charm on it) I ended up dumping all of them out, and looking through all of them to find those three Quidditch books that I had borrowed for Sam. ''Oh no, oh no, oh no!'' I exclaimed, realization dawning on me. ''Sam! I left them out!''
''Left what out?!?''
I grabbed his wrist and pulled him up, dragging him across the grounds to the Black Lake.
''Aww, man! I'm so stupid and careless and forgetful, oh my pots and kettles, I'm a terrible person!''
There were the books, sitting on the dock, soaked, soggy and completely ruined.
''I borrowed some Quidditch books for you, Sam, and I was looking them over yesterday and I left them out, and it rained, bro, it rained hard!'' The pages were soggy and ripping. The covers were discoloured and one of them was completely gone.
''Sarah! You left them out in the rain?'' Sam said, ''I mean... it's alright, I'm sure they have more copies!''
We ran to the library.
''Hello there, Sarah, do you need help finding anything?'' the librarian said cheerfully.
''I need help finding my dignity, ma'am.'' I said sheepishly.
''Oh, dear me, what have you done to those books?'' she said.
''I left them in the rain, ma'am.''
''Well it was an accident, wasn't it, dearie?''
''Yes, ma'am.''
''Well why do you look so sad?''
''Because, ma'am, I ruined the books and I'm ashamed of myself!'' I started to tear up. ''I ruined them, ma'am, I ruined them!''
I collapsed on the ground. I'm not usually this distraught and I don't cry much, except when it comes to books. Sam sat down on the floor beside me. Sat there while I sobbed my heart out.
''I need detention ma'am, I'll do anything. I'll sort files, I'll shine the armory, I'll clean all of Hogwarts, ma'am!''
''Sarah!'' the librarian said, ''Go out and do something! Take a nap, eat some chocolate, fly a broomstick for all I care! Just stop with the sobbing and the detention and the regaining your dignity!''
I straightened up. ''Uh?''
''Yes, dear?''
''Did you say fly... a- a broomstick?''
''She said fly a broomstick!'' Sam exclaimed. We started jumping around, singing ''She said fly a broomstick, she said fly a broomstick!'' We ran out to the broomshed as fast as we could, not caring whether she was serious or not.
''Woohoo!'' Sam yelled.
''I don't even care if they are Bluebottles or Cleansweep Ones! We're the first first years to fly broomsticks!'' I said enthusiastically.
We grabbed the first brooms we saw, kicked off of the ground like experts, and took off.
''Sam! I've never flown a broom before but it feels so natural, don't you think?''
''Yeah!'' he yelled back. ''It's because we know how, Sarah, we've been studying how to fly broomsticks since we got here! We know all about it!''
We flew side by side, careful not to go too high, just because we were first-timers, but we did go fast.
''I can't wait until we're allowed to start Quidditch!''
