My best friend is my cousin. Not because I don't have any non-family friends, not because we were forced to by our moms, but because she is awesome.

We both got way overly excited when we got our Hogwarts letters. Well, I know I did, at least.

The day that we had been anticipating since our birthdays had finally come! When we arrived at King's Cross Station we started dancing around with our arms linked,singing ''We're off to see the wizaaardd!'' and then tried to go together through Platform 9 3/4 but ended up clanking into each other and falling on top of a really cute old couple wearing matching outfits.

So we arrived at Hogwarts. Our journey was normal, no one fell out of the boat or anything because of getting too excited, except for me... six times. The fifth time, Hagrid bonked me with his umbrella. On the sixth he just sighed.

We got to the great hall, and unsurprisingly, I got sorted into Hufflepuff. Yay! My best friend cousin forever, (bfcf) Meadow, got sorted into Ravenclaw...no surprise there. She walked past my table and I fist bumped her and whispered ''babe'' into her ear. It's one of our many inside jokes. I guess I should explain.

So one day we were at school, and this random guy put his fist up to Meadow, ready to receive a fist bump from her, saying ''Baaabbe!'' she confusedly bumped his fist, and he made a 'completely weirded out face' and walked over to his girlfriend and started talking to her.

''Babe... let's go...'' he put his arm around her and started jabbering about doing a social studies project.

I laughed so hard. Meadow had just realized that she had intercepted the guy's fist bump with his girl friend and had her eyes closed in total embarrassment, half shaking. I was rolling around on the floor, unable to breathe from my laughter and Meadow just stood there, looking really embarrassed. I finally got up, wheezing, fist bumped her, said ''See you later, baaabe'' and walked to my muggle class. From then on we said ''babe'' and fist bumped every time we saw each other.
