I'Ve Waited All My Life
Well, I suppose I should have thought about the threats that came with this revelation. You know, those things that made my heroes shiver. The kinds of things a regular girl would have screamed at. But I'm different. Special. Magic.

The Adoption
Chapter 4
"What?" A million thoughts raced through my mind. Am I really adopted? My parents would never lie like that! Or- would they? If I was adopted from some crazy place, maybe. I began to rub a finger over my scar. One short scratch that was on the back of my hand. Then I realized that it was two scratches.Wait- it was three! No, four! No, it was five! Six! A perfect hexagon! As I stared at my arm, the scratches turned into black lines. They spread along my skin and begun to move. A spinning black web of lines all across my skin. My hair changed too- It grew longer, straighter, until it went all the way to my thighs. It also turned black. My old pajamas turned into a black dress. The dress had spaghetti straps and went to the middle of my shins. I ran into my room and stared into a mirror. My eyes had changed to a terrifyingly unnatural violet. My hands caught on fire- violet flames. I tried to make the flames leave, and they did when I said one word: dark.
I ran to my file cabinet and looked through the folders. Slenderman, Wizards, Witches, Caffine, Books- everything except what I needed. Finally, at the back, I found what I was looking for. Transformations and Fire. In Fire there was only a bunch of facts. But in Transformations there was only one sheet. It was filled with myths and things. All useless. I sat on my bed, my head in my hands, wishing it would go away.
