Writers Note:
I'd like to thank everyone who has stuck with me through writing this. It's been a fun ride. I love writing this story. I love all of my readers as well. It means a lot that I have so many fans. I am sorry for the delay in writing, I've had writers block for the past few days and I just now sat down and made myself write.
We apparated towards the end of Knockturn Alley. I knew that we had to hide, before we were found. Especially since Alan was always down in Knockturn Alley and everyone knew him here. I knew of one store that was down here, no one really knew about, how it stayed open was beyond me.
I walked down the middle of Knockturn Alley, and raised my wand to the wall. I cast a charm on the wall and watched as they separated. Theo was still conscious but he was mildly unconscious. I opened the door, and smelt a nostalgic smell that reminded me of home. I had Theo leaning on my shoulder limping with a glazed look in his eyes. I walked towards the counter where no one was. It used to be full of business until people started robbing it.
I set Theo down on an old armed chair that seemed to be from the late 16th century. He began to moan as he started coming around. "Are you okay?" I said. He closed his eyes again for a few seconds and held his palm of his hand to his forehead. "Y..yeah. I just have a horrible headache." I walked over to Theo and grabbed his hand. I squatted down and got face to face with him.
I heard some movement coming from the other side of the store. It was an older man. He seemed to notice us, but didn't pay much attention. I felt the coldness of my wand in my hand as though it was tired from all of this fighting. I put my hand towards my side to put my wand into the side of my pants, Theo grabbed my hand. His eyes just looked behind me, and stayed fixed. I felt a cold presence. I closed my eyes for a second, and stood in front of Theo as a shield. It was the old man. He was just staring at us. He didn't seem to be really there.
"Hello." I said to the old man. He moved his eyes from trying to look at Theo to right at me. He wouldn't blink. I knew there was something off about this man. "We are open" the man said. I looked towards the door to see if anyone was walking in. It was just Theo and I. "I see that." I said. He kept eye contact with me, "We are open." he said again. "Yes. Thank you. I think it's time to go." I said. I turned around and grabbed Theo to help him up. The man grabbed my arm. "Let go." He kept staring at me. "We are open."
I was so annoyed, I lifted my foot up to this mans stomach and kicked extremely hard. He fell backwards. Never breaking eye contact. He laid on the floor; eyes still wide open. I walked towards the door, and as I grabbed the door knob I heard a voice from the back.
"Seems you have found my hideout." I turned around, it was Alan. Theo looked at Alan, "Your hideout?" Theo said. "Yes. I've been coming here for years, ever since I was given the position as Professor at Hogwarts. I've been trying to research on who the one is." "The one?" I said. Alan shot a look at me.
"Yes, but so far we have failed. We can only conclude he/she is a muggle born witch/wizard. We can see the blood line, but we do not know of the names."
"So. Your almighty leader will do what for you? Lead you to salvation? Grant you wishes? What. You seem to be extremely adamant about finding this leader. There are thousands of muggle-born Witches and Wizards." Theo said.
I looked at the man on the ground, who was still staring at me. "Don't mind him. He's nothing anymore. His soul was taken by the Dementors. I use him as a decoy." I felt bad for the man. That's got to be a fate worse than death.
"So now that we are here. What do you expect to happen? Because you're not taking us captive again." Theo said. Alan chuckled, "No. No. I don't want to captivate you. I want your blood. Actually. Everyone is getting their blood tested today. Madison and the rest of the following are at Hogwarts." Alan said.
"And you expect us to give you our blood?" I said. "More or less" Alan said.
I stepped away from Theo and walked towards Alan. "Fine. If you promise to leave us alone, after, take my blood." I said.
Alan grabbed his wand and made a laceration in my arm. He pulled out a vile, and let the blood drip into it. I put my hand over the cut, and walked away from Alan. I ripped off a piece of clothing from my pants, and wrapped it around the cut to make sure I didn't bleed to death.
Theo looked at me, and walked towards Alan. He did the same thing. Alan motioned for us to leave the store.
I looked at Theo and then walked towards the door. Theo followed behind me. We looked around to get towards Diagon Alley. I remembered that we could use the Floo Network at Flourish and Blotts. I made my way around the corners of Knockturn Alley with Theo following next to me.
I turned the corner towards Diagon Alley and saw Flourish and Blotts. I looked over my shoulder and saw two men chasing us with their wands out. One shot a spell above my head, and made the sign fall behind me. I ran towards Flourish and Blotts. Theo held the door open for me fending off the men who were trying to fight us.
I stepped into Flourish and Blotts and saw the Floo. Theo closed the door behind us, and didn't bother to lock it. The owners stared at both of us. I grabbed a handful of Floo Powder and give half to Theo.
We both knew to go to the Headmasters Floo. We stepped into the Floo Network and the men walked in, Theo said it first "Headmaster Novellus' office." He turned into a flame of ivory, and disappeared. The men froze, "NO." They screamed at me, "Headmaster Novellus' office." I said.
The Floo Network was always a fun ride. It didn't burn, or hurt like Apparating did. I tumbled out of the Floo network and onto the floor in front of the network. Theo was standing there. He shut the network down so no one could come in after us.
"What took you so long?" He said.
I looked at him, "The men were in there. The almost got me." I said.
