Chapter 12

(Since there is supposed to be a rated R scene in here, I am leaving it out due to the standards of this website. However, I will post an alternate scene in a google document. If anyone would like it, please PM me for the link )

It was a few weeks after the incident. Theo was still teaching. Professor Novellus was sending out Aurors for the deranged dark witch Madison. I got out of the hospital a week after the incident. I remember it clearly.

I was laying in Theo's arm, and I felt his heart beating quickly. He could barely hold me, his knees were weak, his arms were shaking, he was in so much pain from crying. I still couldn't speak. We made our up the hillside, and we saw the Castle all lit up. I tried moving my legs, and they worked. I kept going in and out of consciousness. I looked up at Theo who was still looking at the way in front of him while carrying me. I never knew his eyes were a dark brown, they were glowing with the moon, they were beautiful.

He made his way towards the Viaduct, and just before he did. I threw my body off of him. Everyone behind his gasped. They stopped dead in their tracks. They all looked at Theo, thinking he dropped a dead body. I moved my body again, but barely. "HE'S ALIVE." I heard Molina scream. I still could barely move. I dropped my body back onto the floor, and I felt Theo grab my, and cling me to his chest. He wasn't walking, he was running. He ran me into the Great Hall, and sat me down on a table.

He called for Madame Willow who was the Nurse on campus. She ran from the Trophy room located at the end of the Great Hall, towards the table. He put me down on the table careful. She examined my body, and Theo was standing by my side. Headmaster Novellus, along with the other staff were in the Trophy room. The majority of the students were standing behind Theo watching me as I laid on the table almost lifeless. Theo sat down on the table next to me. And he looked at me, he muttered the words "I'm sorry" under his breath.

I looked at him, he was resting his hand on the table. And I grabbed his hand and smiled. That's as much as I remember. After that it was all a blackout. Everyone says Madame Willow and Theo brought me to the Hospital Wing.

I eventually woke up after that.

It was the day of Thanksgiving. I sat outside by the Owlery. I felt the cold air wisp across my face, and I was by myself. No one was around, because it was Thanksgiving. Everyone was hanging out around the Quidditch Pitch because everyone liked to hangout there.

I just needed to think for awhile. I saw an Owl fly by that was beautiful. It had long feathers, it was a pure black Owl with orange wings. It flew down towards me, and kept getting closer. It landed right in front of me.

Dead Little Lion,

You think you're lucky to be alive,

I hope you're ready to see what the rest of us are like,

I am not alone,

but you will be.

Regards,

M-B.

I knew that I had to show this to someone. I knew that I was going to have to either kill, or be killed.

I grabbed the parchment in my hand and crumpled it up a bit. I walked back to the Castle and I was furious. I just want to be left ALONE. I wish I was a MUGGLE. I kept thinking how annoyed I was.

I knew I could back out of this easily, and forget about Theo. But I couldn't. Not now. I cared too much for him to stop. Theo and I have been seeing each other every night, and after class. He acts distant, because he thinks it'll kill me.

I saw some students standing by the entrance, and they saw me coming, "John.. .Are you okay?" A Hufflepuff girl said. I didn't even look at her. I just walked passed her.

I made my way into the castle, and I walked right pass the Great Hall. I marched up the stairs, and stood on every landing waiting for the stairs that kept moving to come back. One set of stairs took so long. "You seem rather uppity today young Gryffindor, whats a' matter" I looked around, and saw the voice coming from a portrait. I turned around, and saw a man standing there next to a tree. He kept trying to talk to me. I kept looking forward, and watched as the stair kept coming back.

I turned back around and snapped "LOOK. I MAY OR MAY NOT DIE. I AM TRYING TO GO TALK TO SOMEONE. PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE." The stairs finally came back around, and I stepped onto the platform. I heard him mutter, "Sheesh. I was just wondering." I didn't mind much, these past few days I have been extremely emotional.

I made my way to the third flood, and walked down the hallway I have walked down thousands of times. I felt the sun as I was passing by the stained glass windows. It felt good on my skin, I missed the sun. I saw Defense Against the Dark Arts. The door was closed, and I knew why. Theo didn't want to be bothered. He always did this. I put my hand against the wood and pushed it. It opened and I could feel the cold air rush through my body.

I didn't find him in the classroom, so I walked up the stairs to his office. The cast-iron railing felt different under my hands. I managed my way to the door, and pushed it open. There he was sitting in his chair, staring out the window. It started raining while we were in there. I closed the door quietly, and pressed my back the door and stood there for a few moments. Theo didn't turn around. So I stood next to his desk.

His desk was large, and had only a few things on it. It had a large book, with notes sticking out of it. I sat on his desk, and waited for him to turn around. He never did. "Theo." I said. He turned around, and looked at me. He had tears in his eyes. "What's wrong?" I said. He glanced up and down, like he was looking for me to be holding something. Did he know? He stood up and walked towards me. "I can't lose you John. I won't. I know what Madison is capable of. She's got f..friends that are just as powerful as her. If she wants you dead, then she'll do everything in her power to get rid of you." He grabbed my arm, and leaned in close. "I won't let her." he whispered in my ears. "I don't care if we have to run away. If I have to quit my job, we will get out of here. I...." I didn't even think about it. I leaned and grabbed his neck and pulled it to me. Our lips touched. He grabbed my waste and pulled me closer.

I felt the body heat rise, and I leaned back on his desk. I took his shirt off, and he took mine off. He started kissing my neck. "JOHN" I heard as someone opened the door. It was Bryanna. I looked at her with a look of panic. She closed her eyes. "They're calling everyone down to the Great Hall, for a... uhm.. a feast." She squinted her eyes to look over at Theo and I shirtless on his desk. We started putting our clothes back on, "I'll be downstairs waiting for you both."

I looked at Theo and we both laughed. He helped me put my shirt on, and after I put his shirt on. I walked towards the door, and he closed it for a moment. He leaned in to kiss me. I felt the sparks fly.

I smiled as his lips pressed mine. We kept kissing, "T...today you guys." I pulled away from him, but I didn't want to.

We walked down the stairs, Bry looked at me and smiled. We walked down the stairs together, thankful Bry walked down with me, because it would look horrible had just Theo walked down with me.

We made our way to the Great Hall, and Theo went before me. He smiled as he walked through the doors. I waited a few minutes with Bry before I went on. "So. What happened between you two?" she said. I looked at her, and laughed. "We just talked... And things went from there." I pulled out the letter I received. "Look. Madison sent this note to me." Bry took the note from me, and read it. "You need to tell Theo." she said.

I looked down at the ground, and sighed. "I don't want him to fret. He already wants to quit his job for me. I'm probably going to have to fight her, and apparently she has a whole group of people who are as strong as her." I said. Bry looked at me, and grabbed my shoulder. "If you fight, we all fight." I smiled. "Let's go get food. I'm hungry." I said.

I looked in the Great Hall, and there were so many students it was weird how many people were fitting in the tables. I walked to the end of the table, where the seventh years sat. I sat next to Jachelle. She was pretty much my only Gryffindor friend. Headmaster Novellus didn't say much, but he spoke a few words.

"Students. We have had a great year thus far. Hopefully, we will continue to do so. I want everyone to have a great Thanksgiving. So for tomorrow, classes will be canceled."

I smiled, and grabbed my plate. Jachelle nudged me, "So. How are you and Professor James." She said while smiling. "Hm. We're good. Nothing serious." I didn't want anyone to know how serious we were. I looked over at the Professors table, and saw Theo engaging in a conversation with the Potions professor. He would glance at the Gryffindor table every now-and-then, scanning for me. Eventually we locked eyes, and we smiled.

I ate so much, I almost threw up. I walked outside, and walked towards the Boathouse. The Boathouse has always been my favorite place. No one ever goes there, because it's so run-down, but it's beautiful. I walked to the doors of the Boathouse, and I saw someone had a blanket set up on the dock. It had two pillows, each were Gryffindor. I walked away slowly, and I saw Theo standing behind me.

"Wh... What is this?" I said. He smiled and told me, "It's a date. Since we're not able to go on an official date until you graduate. This will have to do." He smiled. He went towards the blanket, and threw his legs over the wooden beams and put his arm behind his head. I laid next to him, and began to look at the stars. "I love it out here too. It's so quiet." He said. I rolled over and smiled at him. I went to pull out the note, and I had it in my hand. He pushed my hand away, ".. I know." He said quietly. I looked at him, "You know?.. About the letter I got today?" He nodded. "How?"

"You had it in your hands. I read it earlier -- " I looked at him. "I don't know what to do. I think when I graduate, I have to move away. I can't deal with this. I already told Bry, and she said she would fight with me, but I don't want her to get hurt. She said everyone would fight." He grabbed the note out of my hand, and proceeded to read it. "I have to tell you something" he said. "W...what?" I questioned. "I'm resigning as Professor this year. I want to make sure you're safe." He said.

I sat up, and held my knees to my chest, and rested my head on them. "What are we going to do then?" I said. He sat up too. "I don't know..." He leaned in closer, and put his lips to mine.

"John.. I love you."
