It has been thought for centuries that wizards and witches have a superior way of living, and although in some ways our lives are easier, Muggles have seen the Industrial Revolution, two wars that involved a lot of their world and looking into technology being a part of everyday life.

We may have had far easier lives back 200 years ago, but while we have only moved forward at the pace of a Flobberworm, Muggles are flying faster than a phoenix in terms of innovation, exploration and creation. How long has it been since magic folk have added a new spell that everyone should be aware of to the curriculum and everyday life?

Take for example the quill. While many will say this is a time-honored way to write and has many positives to it, Muggles have come up with a pen; which is far easier to use and doesn't require as many refills. We may have a classier aesthetic, but the Muggles have a more convenient way to write. This is one of many ways that Muggles are moving while we are not. We won't even mention technology like Facebook and email, which has only begun to be used in the greater community by witches and wizards.
