There are five categories of muggle inventions I will cover in this book: Transport, Medicine, Household, Communication, and Sports. Technology has revolutionized muggle life.

Here are some examples of each category:
Transportation inventions: car, train, bike, plane, and boat.
Medicine inventions: pill, needle, and IV.
Household inventions: microwave, washer, and dryer.
Communication inventions: telephone, computer, and cell phone.
Sports inventions: football, soccer, tennis, and golf.

Transportation inventions were created by muggles who needed to travel long distances quickly and/or couldn't just walk there. We witches and wizards can just apparate to wherever we need to go, but muggles had to find another way. Medicine inventions were created to keep muggles from dying so often and to keep muggles healthier. Household inventions were created to make daily life easier. Communication inventions were created to send messages quickly over distance. Sports were invented to have something fun to do in spare time.
