The sky was just rising as her life was setting. She had been stabbed in the chest several times. The pain was horrible and she could feel blood soaking her elegant silk tunic. Her horse had died a while ago but she was still holding on. She had always been a fighter. She never gave up on a battle or on her friends. But she shouldn't have been so naive! She knew Jackson had been part of the Burning Skies! But she trusted him! She loved him with all her heart even as he stabbed her and left her to die. The worst thing was that Jackson had apologized as she dropped to the ground bleeding, tears streaming down her face. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes. Her last thought was that she still trusted him. She died seconds later. Jasmine was dead and it was entirely her fault. But perhaps we should start from the beginning of the story...
