Mom is always depressed for some apparent reason. She refuses to talk about it, even too me, her daughter! I'm almost thinking of asking if I came from her tears instead. I mean, I feel bad and all, as she's family, but it gets annoying. She doesn't do anything but sit on the couch and sob, breaking my attention on whatever I'm doing, and leaving me to cook, do the laundry, and all those stuff. I hate my life. And yes, I'm a half-blood, since my mom married a bloody muggle.

Diagon Alley
Chapter 1
I can still hear my mother's sobs as I closed the door. What is wrong with her? I storm down towards Diagon Alley, and enter successfully.
"You can't be serious," I mutter, and look around at everything. It's as if fate had decided to tease me, showing everyone with their parents, embracing them in hugs and what not. I continue my way, and look at my list of items. Just a few weeks ago had I received the letter, saying that I would be going to Hogwarts, where my mom had studied. Well, I already have an owl, and books. I come to Flourish and Blotts a lot, so I know where that is. Just yesterday was I here. I go towards the wand shop, and get a wand. It was hard, let me tell you that.
"Interesting," said the wand maker after my seventh wand.
"Perhaps you will be the one to wield this one," he said, and handed me a beautifully carved wand. It tingled with warmth in my hand, and I raised the wand, ready to try it out.
"Beech wood, a very desired wood, mostly because of its color. Dragon-heartstrings, for more power and adaptability, and the length is 9 inches. Nice and flexible," he said. This time, the spell came out properly when I did it.
"Lumos!" I shout and the light filled the room. The wand maker recoiled. He seemed to see something different about it this time than the other seven times. And so, this is how I got my wand. For the rest of the day, gathering supplies was easy.
