Carrie sat at the wood table, the smell of lavender fully the room. Her mother cautiously enters the room her jumping at every little movement. The windows covered in a thick layer of fog soon to disappear in the sunlight. Carrie how ever, sitting there with a massive grin and not a sign of doubt on her little face. Sitting at the table her mother stares at the grey wall, only to move her eyes to Carrie. "H-H-How....d-did...you s-sleep, S-Sweetheart?" she asks white as a ghost. The daughter looks up unsure "Fine..." she remarks the smile fading for her face. "You've got school....t-today..." The mother comments quietly while sipping her warm tea. "No....I'm not going....." Carrie stated drily. The mother tilted her head and walked out of the room without another word. Carrie on the other hand her face pale, showing no emotion she gets up and walks into her bedroom.
