Okay, so has anyone ever liked the same person as your best friend?

It sucks.

Heres how it started

He and I started talking at the beginning of the year and flirting a lot and stuff and he actually showed interest in me.

Everyone suspected we liked each other and gt the hint to not hit any of us up.

except for her

she would tease and stuff but I would deny because I thought it was obvious to her

well, it wasn't and I guess its kinda my fault for not telling her.

all a sudden after that, she caught feelings for him

he felt bad and said he liked her (wasn't true btw) and yea ig that was also a bad move for him to make

me being the nice friend I am, puts away my feelings and supported her all the way, telling her to give it her best try and maybe they'll eventually go out.

But he wouldn't talk to her or go near her at all

and she started catching on

He would always hang around me tho, when she was absent from school and I was lonely without my friends he would sit with me at lunch with his friends and she would facetime me during lunch to talk and stuff

She saw him sitting with me and she started doubting herself and I felt bad so I lied to her and said that he's probably scared to hit her up and that he's like my brother and we're really close friends and that's why he's always around me
