Marquis de Lafayette #8
written by Amythyst
This book is even better than #5. Lafayette tries to solve a case by questioning suspects, but little does everyone know, it was he who committed the crime! (Very random)

The Second Suspect(Fell For It)
Chapter 3
Lafayette spots Jefferson, who is sleepily holding a quill.
Lafayette: Oh, you look very tired, Monsieur Jefferson.
Jefferson: (drowsily)And why is this important?
Lafayette: Because it suggests you may have been up to something mysterious last night.
Jefferson: It wasn't really mysterious... but I had to write a draft for a document.... that was supposed to be a GROUP PROJECT!(By the way, this document was the Declaration of Independence. Adams made Jefferson write it.)
Jefferson faints from exhaustion.
Lafayette: Very mysterious... he has fainted from exhaustion.
John Adams walks up and looks at Jefferson.
Adams: Ha. Sucker.
Adams walks away.
Lafayette: MONSIEUR JEFFERSON!!!
Jefferson: What? You need me to write more documents?
Lafayette: No.
Jefferson: Good.
Lafayette: You are a suspect for the case of dressing Monsieur Hamilton up as a girl.
Jefferson: That sounds hilarious, but I couldn't have done it. I was up all night writing that draft. (Hold up footage)
In the footage:
Jefferson: Hey, my buddy Adams here is a great writer!
Adams: What? No, no, YOU'RE a great writer, Jefferson! Why, you can write ten times better than I can! Nobody likes me, everybody likes you! Of course someone as great as yourself Should write a document as important as this! What do you say?
Jefferson: Aw, thanks! Sure I'll do it- Wait what?
Adams: Well, then, it's settled! Jefferson will write the draft! Farewell, gentlemen, and good night! (Leaves)
Jefferson: ....
(Footage over)
Lafayette: HAHAHA! YOU FELL FOR IT!
Jefferson: Hey, don't make fun of me!
Lafayette: MONSIEUR JEFFERSON FELL FOR IT! Hahahaha... So, let me see this document to make sure you were up all night writing it.
Jefferson holds up the Declaration of Independence, then faints again from exhaustion.
Lafayette: Monsieur Jefferson is innocent. Hmm, Monsieur Adams was not up all night writing a document, I wonder what he was up to?
(Looks at security camera for Adams' house. Adams is playing video games where he has inserted his face onto the hero and Jefferson's face onto the villains.)
Lafayette: Hmm, this could be interesting blackmail material... Now, where are my minions?
Laurens: (Pops up from tissues) What minions?
Lafayette: You!
Laurens: ....(Is buried in tissues again)
Lafayette: Now, where is Monsieur Hamilton?
He sees Hamilton's arm sticking out of a portal.
Hammy: Help! Help!
Lafayette pulls Hamilton out.
Lafayette: Monsieur Hamilton, what were you doing in that portal?
Hammy: It wasn't my fault! You, like, pushed me-
Lafayette: NO NO, I DIDN'T!
Hammy: Well, okay, okay, I tripped over something, fell through the wall, and fell into a vortex.
Lafayette: Alright. Well, aren't I a great detective? I have already determined that three people are not suspects!
Hammy: Um, have you determined that anyone is a suspect?
Lafayette: Everyone is a suspect.
Hammy: But what about those people you just determined weren't suspects?
Lafayette: Everyone except for them.
Lafayette: (thinks) Hmm.... wouldn't it be fun to juice up this case... if I did ANOTHER prank on Hammy!
Lafayette: Oh, you look very tired, Monsieur Jefferson.
