Another name for Spongify is the Softening Charm.

Effects/Limits
The spell, once cast on an objects, renders it soft and rubbery. The spell isn't permanent, so the object will eventually harder into its original state. However, this process usually takes at least an hour. How soft and bouncy the charm makes the object is entirely dependent on the caster's skills and concentration.

History
The history is unknown, though sources have said that the charm was created by a couple young kids who simply wanted to play around.

Etymology
English spongy meaning "soft" and -fy meaning "to make".
