Chapter 1
Mind Reader

I loved the first lesson, as it was very interesting. I did not know everything about Hufflepuff House, especially the rumors of a secret passageway. As a Ravenclaw, I'm naturally curious about learning, and learning new things, so investigating any rumors would have been enough to pique my interest. I think the thing I liked least about this lesson was that we didn't begin cooking right away. I love to cook and bake and I love to just jump right in. My expectations of Magical Cooking, when I first signed up, were to learn to cook all sorts of delicious meals and learn more about cooking in general, especially what makes Magical Cooking different from Muggle Cooking. As for topics I wish to cover in the future, I wish to learn to cook all sorts of delicious food, so I would love to learn all sorts of recipes. I would also love to learn how to bake things like cakes, cookies, cupcakes, and other sweets.

Into the Kitchens!

When I first entered the kitchens, I was amazed at the size of them. I had no idea the kitchens were separated into two separate rooms. I felt like I wanted to explore every inch of both the storeroom and the cooking room. I felt like I wanted to pick up every piece of cookware and get a feel for how it would feel in my hands, being used. I would describe the kitchens as very large and expansive, which is necessary to feed large groups of people, including the students of Hogwarts. I think the most curious details about the kitchens are that four tables are only set up when serving meals to the students, otherwise, there's only one large table set up, and that the cooking room seems so empty when you consider the size of it and everything that's in it, the table, the pots, pans, ovens, and dishware. I think the one kitchens' item I found most interesting was the large amount of cookware stored within the kitchens themselves. I know it's needed to feed large amounts of people, but I don't think I've ever seen so much cookware contained within one place before.
