One step cloooser.” Ruby quietly sang to the radio while staring out the car window. They had just left the house five minutes ago for Naomi’s. Ruby sighed and smiled. She loved this song. It was a perfect blend of calming and passionate music that proclaimed true love forever and ever. The thought of it made her heart flutter with excitement and joy. Ruby’s mom stroked her hair. “ You got all of your stuff sweetie?” Ruby broke out of her trance and turned to look at her mother. “Yep.” she replied. Soon they arrived at Naomi’s where she showed them through the maze to get through the trees and finally to the building that was her home. Naomi helped Mrs. Windflyer and Ruby with her bags and they set off for the front door. “Supernova!” Ruby shouted, running over to the stables of the house. The two girls hugged and asked a boatload of excited questions. “You brought Spirit!” Ruby exclaimed, petting the horse on the nose. “Yep. I can’t wait till’ we go riding this afternoon.” Nova replied. “Me neither.” Ruby sighed, walking into the stables and over to where the horse called Arimis was held. He had a luscious black coat that shone in the sunlight. His mane was also the color of smoke and his eyes were a rich chestnut.
