Dark Wonders
Chapter 6
The afternoon came soon and everyone was relieved there were no more lessons for today. So most people rushed back to their dorms but instead I decided that I would go to the library for it was always a quiet place where I could think peacefully for myself without being disturbed.
As I walked quietly towards the library I noticed the two twin girls from earlier standing around the corner. I knew they were talking to each other but I couldn't make out the words to what they were saying and just when I thought I would finally be able to hear what they were saying they finished the conversation that they were busy with. As they started walking this way I muttered the disillusionment charm under my breath and disappeared from visibility. I realized then that I was wrong they were still talking. They were talking softly with the hope that nobody would hear them but I could clearly make out what they were saying.
"You know that Jackson says that we should keep the lockets safer than normal and you know that! He told us that we should be more careful ages ago!" hissed the girl who appeared to be the eldest of the twins.
"I know that Willow but its not my fault that Olive just decided that she wanted to go through MY stuff!" replied the second girl, briskly.
"But you still could of found a better spot to hide yours Paisley, couldn't you!" the elder twin said sharply while continuing to bicker with her sister.
"Sorry I just-" the younger one paused with the feeling that someone was listening, as I accidentally almost tripped over my shoes and gave a slight yelp.
"Who's there!" The older girl yelled holding out something that emitted a great bright light, though, I couldn't quite make out what it was for the light was shining sharply into my eyes. After a few minutes I guess they must have been satisfied that nobody was here because they walked off though it was rather quickly. The surprise that I felt must have been enough to make the Charm wear off because I could soon see that my hands were visible again. After my eyes agusted to the light I hurried into the library and sat down on the floor in my favourite corner hidden between many other bookshelves.
I was astounded. Were they talking about Jackson Ross? Or perhaps it was just a different Jackson that they were talking about. Sure that could be it... right? Why hadn't i noticed it before they looked so similar after all. they all shared they chestnut locks that fell so neatly around their heads and the soft green eyes that practically highlighted and stood out from the rest of their features. I guess thats what he must of meant when he said he was one of the transfer students from Ilvermorny.
