The New Boy
Chapter 2
I awoke gloomily on a dark Monday morning to find myself late to potions class taught by Professor Baine. I rushed towards my trunk, quickly pulled on my robes and ran down the hall. I rushed into the classroom only to hear; "Ms Malfoy you are late, detention, for the next week," said Professor Baine, as i groaned gloomily and collapsed into my seat. I sighed as glares arrived from the people sitting around me, I returned their glare and instantly they turned away as if I were a basilisk. Thirty minutes into the lesson ( and ten minutes after I arrived ) a boy arrived popping into they class room quietly and giving most of us a fright. Professor Baine stared at him with raised eyebrows until he started to speak.
"I'm Jackson Ross, i'm one of the new transfer students from Ilvermorny," he said, quietly but just loud enough for everyone to hear him. He looked at us with emerald green eyes surrounded by locks of chestnut brown hair. He looked ever so handsome but I looked away knowing that he'd never be interested in a pale girl with a dark past. I continued on with my work until the end of the lesson which I had been thinking about him the whole time. It was then when i rushed back into my blue dormitory and flopped down tiresomely onto my bed.
