Werewolf's Sister
written by Hayley Solace
Piper was just an ordinary girl....or at least that is what she liked to think. She had no parents, they had died in a car wreck, and she was raised by her big brother. Nearly 23 years older than her, her older brother was more like a parent than a big brother. What happens when Harry comes into the mix? This is Piper Lupin's unusual 1st year at Hogwarts.(I don't own Harry Potter. Rights go to J.K rowling.)

Tea Leaves and Full Moon
Chapter 8
I walked to DADA with Cassy and we walk in. Kids are admiring the flying paper bird that is flying around when Remus walked in. All attention immediately directed to him, and he quickly winked at me. Cassy caught on to this, but bit her tongue. "Hello, class. I am Professor Lupin, your new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. Our first lesson will be seeing how much you already know. Being first years, you probably just know simple spells your family has taught you, but I want to know where everyone is at. Everyone line up at the front of the room with your wands." DADA progressed, and I realized how good my big brother was at spells. He dismissed us and winked at me once more. Once we got out of earshot of other kids, Cassy asked me, "Why did he wink at you?" I replied, "Well, as you heard during the sorting, if you payed attention, my last name is Lupin. He is my big brother." Her expression looked as though she had just seen Merlin. She let it go as we proceded to lunch. We sat down and Ruth joined us. Pretty soon, we saw Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny. When Harry sat down, people started whispering. "What are they whispering about?" I asked. "Well, number one, I'm the boy who lived, and number two, I was just told I was going to die." he said, and shrugged. "Well, number one, I don't care if you are the boy who lived, it doesn't matter, and number two, why are you going to die?" I asked sharply. He looked at me gratefully, and said, "Thanks for not caring, sometimes people worship the very ground I walk on because I'm the boy who lived, it gets really annoying. But, anyway, in Divination, we were studying tea leaves and she read mine and said it was a death omen. Stupid really." he said. Huh. A death omen. I should go search the library for that. I got up from the table, leaving my roast beef on the plate, half eaten, to do just that.

I had checked out four books from the library on death omens and I had promised Harry I would help find him out of this. I sit on a couch in the library with Cassy and Ruth beside me, and I see the full moon out of the window. "Oh dang!" I say loudly. "What?" she asked, looking concerned. "Um, nothing, I think I need to see Madame Pomfrey for a second. Be back in a bit, girls." I say, and rush off.
