Werewolf's Sister
written by Hayley Solace
Piper was just an ordinary girl....or at least that is what she liked to think. She had no parents, they had died in a car wreck, and she was raised by her big brother. Nearly 23 years older than her, her older brother was more like a parent than a big brother. What happens when Harry comes into the mix? This is Piper Lupin's unusual 1st year at Hogwarts.(I don't own Harry Potter. Rights go to J.K rowling.)

The Letter
Chapter 1
Piper Lupin stared out of her window. She was surely going to get into trouble. She had gotten in HUGE trouble at school, and boy, was she going to get it when her big brother got home. He had been out at his new job, working at a muggle bookshop. At school, a boy had called her ugly and stupid, and that she was not good enough to be anything when she grew up. Then, she didn't care how bad the consequences, she tackled the boy, and beat him up. When she got up, more anger filled her as she realized that he was laughing. LAUGHING. "You think that actually put a dent in me, oh silly girl." Then he yelped in pain as burns appeared all over his face. She had used accidental magic on him. In her opinion, the bloody git deserved it. But, in her big brother's opinion, it was wrong. She had done this a few times before. She cracked open a thick, dusty book, and decided that doing her favorite thing would be a good pass time. Then, there was a knock on the front door. A feeling of dread settled in her stomach, as she descended down the stairs and opened the door. Her older brother was standing there with a small smile on his face. "Hey, Pippy." she smiled a ghost of a smile at the nickname. Then, she felt a wave of guilt rush over her. Her big brother was in a good mood, it seemed, and she didn't want to ruin that. But, she had a paper to sign, informing him on what happened. She sighed, and said back," Hi, Remy. Um, can you sign something for me?" she asked, and at seeing Remus' smile falter, she sighed and handed him the small note. It read:
Dear Mr. Lupin,
Your child has hurt another child, for saying things about her that were not true, but her actions were uncalled for. She tackled him, and somehow, burned him on his face. We checked her for matches or a lighter, but she nothing. You are required to come to a meeting concerning Piper. Please sign this and return it by August 11.
As Remus read this, his face became stern. Piper expected this. This was his cycle, first, he got a stern face, then, he scolded her, then, he told her no reading for a week or something and gave her a hug. But, instead of doing this, he sighed, and said, "Ok, Piper, I need to know one thing. What did this boy say about you?" Piper's face was crossed between confusion and surprise. "He called me ugly, and stupid, that I didn't deserve anything, and that I was silly for trying to put a dent in him," she said. "I will talk to Mrs. Peters about this, but for now, just go to your room." he said softly. "Um, ok? I will. Uh, thanks?" Piper said. She climbed the stairs, and opened her room door. Then, an owl flew to her window. She opened it, and it gave her a letter before flying away. Piper turned the letter over, and saw her name and address in a pretty font. "Man, today is full of surprises, huh?"she inquired as she opened the letter. As she read it, her face lit up. "REMUS!!" she screeched. Her blonde hair flew in her face as she turned her head to the door, which had been opened by a very worried looking Remus.
