Rose woke up to a feathery face staring at her. She struggled but she was pinned under its giant foot. It snapped it's large beak and looked backwards at a squirrel. The beast had the front of a eagle and the back of a lion. "Its a hippogriff" huffed Rose quietly. The hippogriff seemed to have heard her and whipped back. "Hi" she Mumbled awkwardly. It snapped it's beak twice. Then it spread out its big wings and bowed. Rose bowed as well and pet it lightly on the head. Three weeks later Rose named it Eliot and they became great friends.
