This is a dairy of my 4th year at Hogwarts, with the Triwizard Tournament and all that. There are three parts, one for each task in the Triwizard Tournament. And this is the first.

The first task
Chapter 6
Today at morning after breakfast, professor Dumbledore announced that classes would start only after lunch and the first task is to be held during morning hours. And the champions were called into a big tent outside the castle.
We had 20 minutes before it started, so Harry and I talked for a bit until Mr.Fudge came into the tent with a leather pouch. He said each of the champions to put our hand in and pull out whatever came first into our hand. I pulled out what seemed to be a small version of the Hungarian Horntail. The professor Dumbledore said, "This is the first task. You must retrieve a dragon's egg in the presence of the dragon. Which means you will have to fight a bit. And the model of which dragon each of you pulled out will be the dragon you will face."
I waited until my turn came. When Harry was called, I knew it was me next. "And next, HERMIONE GRANGER!" Fudge's voice boomed.
I walked out of the tent to see a Hungarian Horntail guarding a golden egg. Harry let me share his Firebolt, so I flew off on it. I have to distract it, I thought. Just then it blew out fire and started flying in my direction. I flew in the opposite direction and it followed me. My plan was to fly around with the Hungarian Horntail behind me and suddenly dive and scoop up the egg. And that's exactly what I did. Then it started coming too near, and I took out my wand, pointed it at the furious dragon and said, "Flipendo!" And then it was knocked backwards.
I flew as fast as I could, and the dragon was just as fast behind me. It blew fire again, and I narrowly escaped. I suddenly dived, and I think the dragon was confused, because I was able retrieve the egg. I felt very relieved and triumphant.
After I landed down from the broomstick, I was escorted back to the castle with the other champions and all the cheering kids following behind.
