Chapter 2
“Cissy!” I called.
I rapped on the door again.
“Cissy!”
The door flew open.
“Oh, good, you’re here! Follow me, quickly, quickly!” Narcissa said.
We ran silently through the halls and into the basement.
“Izzy!” a blond headed boy cried, running over to me.
“Hey, Scorpius!” I said, ruffling his hair.
“Isabella!” Draco exclaimed.
“Draco!” I cried. “Hey!”
“Ah. The Girl Who Lived, Headmaster’s pet, the one who helped defeat the Dark Lord.”
“Layla!” I laughed.
She smiled. “I didn’t think you’d come.”
“Neither did I,” I admitted, looking toward the darkest corner. “I know I love her deep down - even though she tried to kill me more times than the Dark Lord tried to kill Harry Potter - and yet I still came. But just because she’s evil, doesn’t mean I don’t love her. I mean, she is my mother. And I love her for who she is.” I sighed. “Even though I haven’t yet forgiven her for killing half my friends and half the Order - especially Fred.”
I walked into the dark corner.
“Izzy,” Draco started, “you shouldn't go over there.”
I ignored him. I turned around.
“See?” I said. “ Nothing happened.”
“Yet,” said a voice from behind me.
“Oh...” I said. “That’s what you meant by ‘don’t go over there’.”
Draco nodded.
I felt a blade against my spine.
“Stay still.”
I sped out of the corner.
“Fine,” Bellatrix said. “I’ll do it to her then.”
“To who?” I asked, slightly frightened.
“Lovegood,” Bellatrix sneered, and threw the knife right at Layla’s heart.
“NO!” I cried, and pushed Layla to the ground.
The knife lodged itself directly above my heart. I fell to my knees.
“Izzy!” Layla cried.
She got up and ran over to me, and carefully pulled the knife out of my chest.
“And she tries to kill me again,” I gasped, clutching my chest.
“No, not kill you,” Bellatrix said. “Create you.”
“W-what?” I said, confused.
“I just made you a Horcrux,” she sneered.
“No,” I said. “That’s impossible.”
“It’s not,” Draco said. “As you said, ‘anything is possible if you’ve got enough nerve’.”
I glared at him. He looked at the ground.
Bellatrix laughed coldly.
"AVADA KEDVRA!" I roared.
It hit Bellatrix directly above her heart. Then her eyes rolled upward, and she fell to the ground, the ghost of her last laugh still etched upon her face.
