According to Slytherin's house, the Ravenclaws are so competitive when it comes to our academic success that we do not mind stabbing ourselves in the back between ourselves, and probably other students, in order to get the best grades, while Hufflepuff pointed out that we are so proud of the success of our famous members, like Laverne de Montmorency, that we claim any intelligent wizard as a member of Ravenclaw, like Bridget Wenlock, who was actually a Hufflepuff.

The Ravenclaw house seems to have little rivalry with the other houses except Quidditch (in which case it is more competitive with Hufflepuff). Harry Potter believes that they tend to be on the side of Gryffindor in their rivalry with Slytherin, as with House Hufflepuff. However, during the Triwizard Tournament of 1994, Ravenclaw supported Hufflepuff champion Cedric Diggory above Harry. It should be noted that many Ravenclaw joined Dumbledore's Army and fought in the Battle of Hogwarts alongside Gryffindor and Hufflepuff.
