Half-blood Hufflepuff
written by Brielle Evans
Brielle was a half-blood and she was a Hufflepuff. Here is her story of being proud of her house and her blood status. You don't have to be a Gryffindor to be brave, a Slytherin to be cunning or a Ravenclaw to be a good student. Hopefully Brielle's story changes the way you view people. As a side-note I am not saying that Hufflepuff is better than the other houses. They are all equally great and I shall try not to portray any of them in a unworthy manner.

Second Year
Chapter 8
She waited impatiently for the train. She was starting her second year. She checked her wand and potions supplies. Her mom came over and gave her a hug. "Have fun dear." She hugged her back. "I will." The train pulled in and she quickly got on. "I love you!" She shouted, as the train pulled away. She walked into the compartment Owen was in. She stopped when she saw another boy with him. "Hey Brielle," he greeted her. "Hey, and who's this?" "Oh, this is my friend Peeves." The third year nodded his head. "Hi." She turns to Owen. "Ready for another year of potions?" She grinned excitedly. "Haha, right." "You know I do horrible." "Yea, but you are great at History of Magic." He blushed. "It's not a very Slytherin thing to be good at." He mumbled. "Who cares, you're really good at it and you love it." She seemed perplexed. "What is your favorite subject Peeves," she asks him. "I like Defense Against the Dark Arts." Her eyes light up. "Me too!" "It's my second favorite subject." "I honestly can't stand Herbology." She rolled her eyes. "You'd be surprised at how many Hufflepuffs actually don't." "It is pretty boring." Peeves agreed. "I hope Hagrid does Care Of Magical Creatures." "I learned a lot about griffens last year." Peeves seemed puzzled. "You don't act like a Hufflepuff." "You're right." She agreed. "At least not the stereotype." "But I value loyalty and being trustworthy above all else, so that's why I am a Hufflepuff." The train pulled to a stop. She looked out the window. "We're here!"
