Off to Hogwarts!
Chapter 1
"Mommy! Henry lost his badge again!" Amanda Marvin, a twelve year old girl, yelled out to her mom, Mrs. Bess Marvin."Oh Henry, that's the 6th time you've lost your badge! You must learn to take care of your things!" Mrs.Marvin said. "Sorry". Henry Marvin, a boy of fifteen, who was Amanda's older brother, mumbled. He had been chosen Head Boy for Gryffindor and had lost his badge.
"Henry? Is this your badge?" Mr.George Marvin called from his room. "I found this under my bed." "Oh yes! It IS my badge, dad, thanks a million!" was Henry's reply. "May I know what exactly were you doing in my room?" Mr.Marvin asked Henry.
"Oh, I-I just wanted to borrow a book, dad, just-" "No, dad he's lying! He had bought some funny trick from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes when we were in Diagon Alley and he wanted to play it on you!" Amanda interrupted. Henry glared at her. "Henry you shouldn't play tricks on you parents, you really must not." Mrs.Marvin said.
Henry wanted to change the talk. "Hey, we're getting late, the train leaves in 15 minutes. Dad, let's go!" he said. "You're right, we're running late. we'll go now." Mr.Marvin said. They got into the car and set off to King's Cross station.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at King's Cross. "Whew! We're just in time!" Amanda said as they got into platform 9 3/4. Henry and Amanda got on the Hogwarts Express and found compartments with their friends.
"Bye!" Amanda called out to her parents. "Bye! Take care, dear!" Mrs.Marvin called out.
They were off to Hagwarts at last!
